Margaret Starbird
Margaret Starbird holds B.A. and M.A. degrees from the University of Maryland where she concentrated in comparative literature, medieval studies, and German language, interests she pursued on a Fulbright Student Grant at the Christian Albrechts Universitat in Kiel, Germany. She taught German at the University of Maryland for several years and for one year at North Carolina State University. She later attended Vanderbilt Divinity School in Nashville, Tennessee.
Star bird’s theological beliefs were profoundly shaken when she first encountered the suggestion that Jesus Christ was married and that his bloodline survived in Western Europe. Shocked by such heresy, she set out to refute it, but instead discovered new and compelling evidence for the existence of the lost bride of Jesus—the Mary who anointed him with precious unguent of nard from her alabaster jar (John 12:3).
She has written The Woman With the Alabaster Jar, The Feminine Face of Christianity, Magdalene's Lost Legacy, and The Goddess in the Gospels.
