Margot Van Sluytman
Margot Van Sluytman is a poet, publisher, and an award winning expressive writing/transformative language arts facilitator. She has published 12 books of poetry. Her latest book is entitled, The Other Inmate Mediating Justice-Mediating Hope - Poetry and Workbook for the Restorative Process. This is a workbook to restore the soul by entering into the process of forgiveness…for yourself (victim) and the other (perpetrator).
“Margot’s willingness to write from her own transformative journey, which included a face to face encounter with the man who took her father’s life, will help many discover their unique alternative in the search for peace and justice.”
From Voice of a Survivor by Tricia LenzAmong Margot’s latest books is Contemplative Waiting – Write into the Heart of your Spiritual Journey. It has been said of this work…
“I thought many times of Thomas Merton as I read through Margot’s poems. The contemplative waiting becomes an awakening in which the sacred breaks through even in the mundane and ordinary”. Diarmuid OMurchu, Social scientist/Catholic Priest, author of Reclaiming Spirituality and Quantum Theology
Margot was invited to share her work with poetry as both art and healing in Matthew Fox’s brilliant weekend workshop, “The Greening of Spirituality”, at the Gaia Center in Ontario. This fascinating experience of the dance between the wild Divine Feminine and the awakening Sacred Masculine was richly infused with the raw and important aspect of creativity’s place in birthing hope and significant paradigm shifts in humanity’s necessary unfolding process.
